The aim is the development of an adaptive inspection concept which is based on design assumptions, manufacturing quality and results from inspections already carried out. The project aims to improve maintenance planning for offshore activities with focus on critical terms in operation. To guide the industry through the operation and maintenance process of offshore wind farm foundations a Recommended Practice will be developed.

The introduction of this Joint Industry Project will take place besides the international trade fair and European wind energy conference, WindEnergy Hamburg and WindEurope Summit.

The project will produce the following results:

  • A project report will be made available to the participating stakeholders, capturing knowledge and experience 
  • A Recommended Practice (RP) will be developed and published. The RP is intended to provide internationally accepted guidance for dynamic inspection planning and reporting for operation and maintenance of offshore wind farm foundations 
  • An industry wide reporting standard will be developed.
