Olaf Preuß, born in 1962, has been working as a professional journalist since 1987, amongst others for “Der Spiegel”, “Financial Times Deutschland” and “Hamburger Abendblatt”. He joined the publishing house Axel Springer in 2008, since 2015 he has been working as reporter for economy at “Die Welt” in the department for Hamburg and Northern Germany. His focus topics are the maritime business, the German Energiewende and the traffic infrastructure. In addition to his work as a reporter, he writes non-fictions. He received several awards for his journalistic work, e.g. 2016 the Robert-Mayer-Preis, assigned by the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure for outstanding coverage of the energy business.
