Presenter profile: Johan Sandberg is currently Country Manager for Sweden. During his almost 10 years in DNV GL he has had several roles but always within offshore renewable energy, and especially floating wind turbines. He has been leading the development of DNV GL’s first design standard for floating turbines, and been responsible for the WIN WIN project, integrating floating turbines into the offshore oil and gas industry. When DNV and GL merged in 2013, Johan became Service Line Leader for Offshore Renewable Energy, with responsibility for DNV GL offshore renewables services. Before the merger Johan was Head of Department for Renewable Energy in DNV KEMA. Prior to that Johan was Business Development Leader for the Cleaner Energy in DNV with responsibility for renewable energy and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). He has an MBA in Energy Management from BI and Nanyang, and an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology in Lund, Sweden.
