Our KEMA Laboratories

KEMA Laboratories is DNV GL’s world-renowned Testing, Inspections & Certification organization. Located at several sites across the globe, we combine traditional with state-of-the-art gear to ensure every kind of grid equipment—from low-, medium-, and ultra high-voltage—can be tested, satisfying today’s increasingly demanding criteria for performance and safety.

KEMA Laboratories – USA in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, provides fully independent testing, inspection and certification services to utilities, merchant power companies, industrial, petrochemical and OEMs supplying the industrial, and utility and power markets. We are the largest high-power electrical testing laboratory in the Americas, and our reports and KEMA type test certificates are recognized and accepted by manufacturers, utilities and end-users worldwide.

Energy Storage

We work with manufacturers, utilities, project developers, communities and regulators to identify, evaluate, test and recommend systems that will integrate seamlessly with today’s grid, while planning for tomorrow. From our dedicated labs and our teams of experts around the world we have created an industry-leading combination of analytical and testing experience that gives us a unique advantage in finding energy storage solutions.
