Lifetime extension analysis for solar PV plants

PV plants can exceed 25 years of operation and this is opening the door to re-financing assets and new transactions in the industry. DNV GL has analyzed the parameters that may have a significant impact of the life time extension of PV plants: ambient conditions, O&M historical records, review of the main components supplied to the PV plant and the historical performance. Particular results on 7 PV plants analyzed as a part of a bigger portfolio are presented.

    Speaker:

    Daniel Barandella

    Senior Engineer, DNV GL

  • 10:15-10:30 and -15:30-15:45

    Making storage bankable

We will explain which business models and risk-mitigation services are needed to facilitate bankability and market growth. How can technology evaluation assessments and project assessments contribute to your business case and optimize confidence in funding? What is the added value of the GRIDSTOR Recommended Practice for grid-connected energy storage?

    Speaker:

    Paul Gardner

Segment Leader Energy Storage, DNV GL

Certification of photovoltaic power plants - your added value

DNV GL's service specification DNVGL-SE-0078 contains procedural requirements for obtaining and retaining statements of compliance for all phases of the project and a project certificate for the PV power plant. Since the average cost per kWh of a utility-scale PV power plant has dropped significantly, the Financing of a project needs to be challenged/improved.

    Speaker:

    Jochen Springhorn

    Project Manager, DNV GL

  • 10:45-11:00 and -16:00-16:15

How monitoring systems help daily operations in Solar PV portfolio management

Walk thru successful stories of customer running GPM and efficiently managing their sites across the globe without dying in the attempt! Including a vision forward of next gen solutions in the GPM platform ecosystem.

Over Voltage Ride Through (OVRT) certification: clearing your path to market

According to the recently announced VDE-AR-N-4110 regulation in Germany, all new grid-connected energy generation and storage systems must demonstrate their capability of withstanding and stabilizing temporary overvoltage conditions in the transmission and distribution grid without disconnection. The proof of this capability is a two-step process. First, the prototype of your product must be thoroughly and reliably tested. Then, the test results will be compared to the requirements leading to an certificate issued by the recognized certification body stating compliance to the requirements. DNV GL’s measurement and certification experts will be presenting at Intersolar Europe how to ensure that your products meet all new regulatory requirements in Germany to ensure a smooth market entry.

    Speaker:

    Jörg Gütschow

Senior Engineer Power Quality, DNV GL
