Over Voltage Ride Through (OVRT) certification: clearing your path to market
According to the recently announced VDE-AR-N-4110 regulation in Germany, all new grid-connected energy generation and storage systems must demonstrate their capability of withstanding and stabilizing temporary overvoltage conditions in the transmission and distribution grid without disconnection. The proof of this capability is a two-step process. First, the prototype of your product must be thoroughly and reliably tested. Then, the test results will be compared to the requirements leading to an certificate issued by the recognized certification body stating compliance to the requirements.
