Join us for our next workshop series on fixed structure design with Sesam. 

The focus of this workshop is to guide engineers with limited or no knowledge using Sesam to show on how it can enhance the process when working with ULS and FLS of fixed structures. The instructors have extensive backgrounds in engineering of both jackets and topsides. 

The classes are designed to fit your schedule, with a total of 6 workshops, broken into 4hr blocks you can pick and choose which topics you would like to attend. You can come to all the classes and work through the entire process start to finish, or attend the classes of higher priority, based on your needs. We will provide all necessary material needed for each session.  

This work shop will consist of analyzing a jacket and a topside in Sesam (see agenda for details). Topics included, but not limited to:

  • Modeling technique of the jacket structure
  • Pile/Soil modeling and Static analysis
  • Code checking of members, joints and piles
  • Earthquake analysis and code check based on API RP 2A (Strength level)
  • Spectral fatigue analysis due to the wave condition
  • Installation analysis of the topside and the jacket

This is a hands-on workshop. We have a number of PC’s that attendees can use, but it is preferred that you bring your own laptop. We will provide a training license for your laptops, but require prior notice.
