The South East European Regional Council of CIGRE (SEERC) expands the philosophy of CIGRE as a central hub for information and knowledge sharing to South-East Europe. The close cooperation between those countries within SEERC offers better possibilities for development of the future power network and market to provide a safe and reliable electrical energy supply to the more than 200 million inhabitants of SEERC member countries. The 1st SEERC Colloquium “Energy-climate National Strategies 2030 and Challenges for the Electric Power System” will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 24-26 October 2019.
The presentation by Arman Derviškadić will show the trends perceived by KEMA Laboratories in the Electromechanical industry. The first focus will be to share with the audience information about failure rates and statistical data collected at KEMA Laboratories in the past decade. Focus will be on the main equipment used in Transmission and Distribution Networks: Power Transformers, HV Circuit Breakers, Cable Systems and Protection and Substation Automation Equipment. These data will show the past and present trends in the electromechanical industry, together with quality control and quality assurance best practices.
The second focus will be to share with the audience information about the future trends and technologies under development which will be used in the future Transmission and Distribution networks; scenarios will be 2030-2050.
Since 1927, KEMA Laboratories has been on the forefront of testing high voltage and high power equipment. KEMA Laboratories is the first laboratory in the world able to test up to 1,200 kV AC circuit breakers, large power transformers up to 800 kV class and high voltage DC circuit breakers and cables.
