The JIP participants for Phase II and III are HHI, SHI, DSME, DNV GL, ABS, Lloyds, BV, KOSHIPA and KOMERI with oil companies and engineering companies such as Chevron, BHP Billiton Petroleum, Wood Group Mustang, Technip and CB&I participating as technical advisors.

The Bulk Standardization JIP has delivered 9 Integrated Offshore Standard Specifications (IOSSs) within structure, piping materials and components and E&I through its first two phases I and II in 2015 and 2016. The IOSSs have been developed from a fabricator’s perspective to reduce cost and improve efficiency in engineering construction of offshore oil and gas projects. The Bulk Standardization JIP enters Phase III April 2017. The project invites new participants including key players in Norway to participate to obtain a broader and more global involvement of the industry in Phase III.

The status and plans for IOGP’s offshore standardization initiative JIP 33 Phase II for equipment package specifications for procurement will be presented. JIP 33 was initiated by operators to prove the concept of industry-level standardization to improve safety, reduce cost, compress project schedule and improve equipment quality and reliability. In the final presentation, Statoil will present its current program and ambitions for standardization.
