Presenter title: Identification of sub-optimal performance using machine learning techniques
Presentation abstract: Understanding wind turbine performance status improves operations, maintenance and the assessment of future energy production. Until now the status labeling of historical SCADA data have been performed manually. What if machine learning methods can be used for generalization of the model across wind farms with different manufacturing properties and geographical location?

Maria Hallberg
Consultant Renewables Advisory
Maria holds a M. Sc. in sustainable energy engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and works as consultant within renewables advisory, mainly focusing on onshore wind in the Nordic countries. She has been involved in several technical due diligence deliveries, providing technical advice during the tendering and construction phases.

Jan Näs
Senior Engineer, Renewable Energy Analytics
Jan joined DNV GL 2017 and is working as a senior engineer with the renewable energy analytics department, mainly focusing on pre-construction energy assessments. He is a meteorologist by trade, who started as a weather forecaster in 2004, and has since then working experience within energy forecasting, energy trading, hydro power production, wind energy assessments and project development across Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. Additional areas of experience include meso scale modelling, ice modelling and power performance testing.

Ambra Sannino
Business Director, Power System Analysis
Power system expert with 20 years of experience in academia and the power industry on a range of topics, including design and operation of collection grids for wind farms, particularly offshore, and renewable integration in general.

Carl Sixtensson
Business Lead, Principal Consultant
Carl has worked with due diligence in the renewable energy sector since 2008. In his daily work, Carl provides technical advisory to investors, lenders and developers, and has been leading DNV GL’s technical due diligence work for several of Northern Europe’s largest wind farm developments. Carl is the co-author of four papers addressing risk management in the wind industry. He holds a Master of Science from Lund University, Sweden, with specialization in Energy Sciences.

Stefan Söderberg
Principal Engineer, Renewable Energy Analytics - Technical Lead for Mesoscale
In DNV GL Stefan is a Principal engineer and expert in numerical mesoscale modelling and icing climate studies with 13 years of professional experience in the field of renewable energy.

Martin Westerlund
Senior Consultant, Renewables Projects
Martin is Senior Consultant within Renewables Advisory, DNV GL. Martin is a B.Sc Mechanical Engineer with 11 years of experience from the wind industry. Since joining DNV GL in 2015, Martin has performed technical due diligence on over 50 wind farm projects in Scandinavia and performed construction monitoring services on 14 wind farms in Sweden, 5 currently under construction.
