Virtual Software User Seminar EMEA (Phast, Safeti & KFX)

Plant ecosystem

Join us at our 'Virtual Software User Seminar EMEA' on 3 - 4 November 2020

Registration for the virtual 2020 Software User Seminar is now open!

All of us at DNV GL continue to send you our very best wishes in these unique and challenging times. The health and safety of our customers and our colleagues is our number one priority. We are continually adapting the delivery of software and services in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis to demonstrate that care and our commitment to service.

Travel restrictions and social distancing remain prudent for the foreseeable future so DNV GL is bringing our virtual Software User Seminar to you!

We look forward to gathering virtually in November and our aim is to deliver everything you love about this conference. You will learn about new tools and techniques for using our software and gain perspective on current trends. And, as always, there will be plenty of opportunities to pick the brains of our team through the live chat and Q&A sessions.

The learning and networking experience will be spaced over two days with sessions dedicated to:

  • Phast
  • Safeti
  • KFX

Please mark your calendars for:

  • November 3 - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CET (Central European Time)
  • November 4 - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CET (Central European Time)

In this seminar, we'll share how you can apply technology to advance process safety management in all stages of design & operation and provide insights on how you can use computational fluid dynamics tools to address industrial problems related to the dispersion of hazardous matter, fire and explosion safety.

Looking forward to seeing you online!

KFX-Exsim for safety assessment of Hydrogen refueling stations

In this session, we present the background of safety assessment of hydrogen facilities, including experiences from the Norwegian hydrogen industry’s risk based approach. We will demonstrate how a KFX-Exsim analysis can improve the understanding of various accident scenarios and help ensure safe design and operation.  (Paper was also presented at the AICHe Center for Hydrogen Safety US Conference 2020 in September).

Speaker

Modelling Updates - Part 1

This session, split into two parts over the two days, discusses ongoing and future work to develop the consequence and risk modelling included in Phast and Safeti beyond version 8.4.  This includes modelling of Buncefield type scenarios, extensions to multi-component capabilities, and improvements to dispersion for vertical releases.  Safeti developments also include modelling toxic exceedance and improved sizing of risk grids.  In addition, the ability of Phast and Safeti to model hydrogen releases is discussed and some practical advice is provided.

Speaker
