DNV GL rules

Shaping the future of classification

Floating docks

The rules for Floating Docks covers all aspects of classification of floating docks. The rules are based on the DNV rules. A thorough gap analysis between the DNV and GL rules was carried out. The result is new and harmonized rules that take advantage of our combined experience with classification of floating docks.

Generally, the DNV and GL requirements to floating docks were found to be similar. Hence, the new DNV GL rules do not include major technical changes compared to its basis.

The DNV GL rules for Floating Docks were published October 2015 and enter into force January 2016.
