What ship types can be supported by ERS™?

DNV GL ERS™ is available for all ship types, offshore units and inland vessels. Moreover, the service is not restricted by size, Flag, age or Class. Oil tankers, bulk, container, car, gas and cement carriers, passenger ships and pleasure craft, navy vessels and offshore structures can be enrolled into ERS™. 

The specifics of each vessel type are taken into account when handling each emergency situation.

Where can I access the electronic copies of the ERS™ Documentation for my fleet?

Access to up-to-date ERS™ documentation is available for each vessel / unit in the customer portal in Veracity.

My vessel is not classed with DNV GL. Can I have ERS™ with DNV GL?

Yes. ERS™ with DNV GL is not restricted to vessel size, type, Class, age, Flag, etc.

How much does it cost to enrol my vessel in ERS™?

There is a one-time enrolment fee when enrolling the vessel as well as a modest yearly service fee to remain enrolled. Please contact ers@dnvgl.com for more details and/or to receive an offer.

Does the ERS™ Declaration have an expiry date?

No. The ERS™ Declaration is evidence of enrolment and has no expiry date.

How do I check if a vessel has valid ERS™?

Regardless of vessel’s class the service validity is confirmed by ‘ERS’ recorded under 'Other DNV GL Services' in Vessel Register

Can my vessel receive help, even though it is not enrolled in ERS™?

If a vessel requires assistance we will do our best to help. However, the support might not come fast enough and the cost involved will be higher.
