DNV GL releases all-new ECO Insight 2.0

DNV GL has released the all-new ECO Insight 2.0 fleet performance management solution. Completely reworked with a new more intuitive design and interface, the release also includes the roll out of a new mobile app, where customers can track vessels performance information in real real-time from their mobile phones.

“Based on the feedback from almost 100 customers, we have focused on improving usability and providing more operational support in ECO Insight 2.0,” says Torsten Büssow, Global Head of Fleet Performance Management at DNV GL – Maritime. “Users can now set up the display of their fleet performance information in a way that suits their needs.”

At the center of the new release is a new home page with an interactive map, live vessel positions and tracks, several weather overlays (wind, currents, pressures, etc.), and nautical information such as traffic separation zones or anchorage areas. From the new mobile app, customers will be able to access more performance KPIs, track vessels, and receive daily alerts on performance and data quality issues.

ECO Insight 2.0 is supported by a renewed version of the Navigator Insight on-board voyage reporting system. Customers can now configure the mandatory contents of on-board reporting and the push messages going out from Navigator Insight to all types of formats, such as the ones given from charterers.

“I would like to thank all of the customers that have made ECO Insight such a success,” Torsten Büssow adds. “In just over two and a half years we have become the market leader in performance management, with more than 1,600 vessels signed up to ECO Insight and Navigator Insight. Our customers have provided us with a wealth of input and insights through many joint projects, and we look forward to saving even more fuel through greater efficiencies in the future.”
