More than 10,000 participants in over 900 courses worldwide in 2014

What were the bestsellers in 2014?

When reviewing what topics our customers chose to attend in 2014, the high number of courses related to Risk Management shows that all aspects that help to minimize risks and to raise safety standards are high on the agenda. Accident and incident investigation, emergency preparedness, handling the media, HAZOP leadership, risk assessment - nearly 2,100 customers participated in courses from the "Risks and Emergencies" category of our course portfolio.

The course "Internal Auditor ISM-ISPS-MLC for Shipping Companies" was the best booked course in 2014. Around 700 attendees all around the globe were interested only in this specific course.

Training courses for Designated Persons Ashore (DPA), Company/Ship Security Officers (CSO/SSO), and Superintendents were also requested regularly around the world. We trained around 600 participants on 86 separate course dates.

The high number of satisfied participants shows that training and having well-trained staff is still considered to be key in the increasingly complex and dynamic maritime business environment. Compared to last year the demand for in-house training rose substantially. Customers appreciated the economical approach of training employees at their premises, this saves time and travelling expenses. Furthermore, specific company needs can be taken into account by tailoring the training programme accordingly.
