The MARPOL Annex VI (International Air Pollution Prevention) Regulation 14 sets the limitations for sulphur and nitrogen oxide emissions from ships.In January 2015, the requirements for sulphur emissions (SOx) in Emission Control Areas (ECA) have become stricter.
