The awards recognize women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and accomplishments in clean energy.
OAKLAND, CA, United States, 2 December 2020 – Elizabeth Kaiga, DNV GL key account director for renewable energy, will receive a C3E award in the business category during the upcoming C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium. The U.S. C3E Awards, administered by the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI), the Stanford Precourt Institute for Energy, and the Texas A&M Energy Institute, are a key pillar of the U.S. Department of Energy’s U.S. C3E Initiative. The awards recognize women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and accomplishments in clean energy, while also mentoring other women. The business award spotlights leaders from private entities ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies who have accelerated the adoption of clean energy in their companies or portfolios.
The goal of the initiative is to increase the participation, leadership and success of women in the clean energy industry. In addition to her work in promoting clean energy, Ms. Kaiga supports diversity and inclusion efforts in the renewables industry, including her leadership on the board of Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE), and initiating in-depth discussions about diversity with key industry players. Ms. Kaiga has more than two decades of experience in the renewable energy industry and has implemented innovative growth and client development strategies for national and global firms. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Global Marketing from Emerson College.
