By road
Travelling from the West Exit M6 junction 43 and head east along A69 for approx 15 miles, signposted Hexham & Newcastle. Turn left onto local road signposted Denton, Gilsland, Spadeadam. Stay on this road, ignoring "MOD No Entry" sign, until you reach RAF Spadeadam Gatehouse. From Scotland exit M6 junction 44. Take local road for 2 miles. At roundabout turn left onto A689 to Brampton and join A69 at 2nd roundabout. Then as above.
Travelling from the East Exit A1 onto A69 west, signposted Corbridge & Hexham, for 39 miles. Turn right onto B6318 at Greenhead for 2 miles. Turn right at Bridge Inn and follow signs for Spadeadam, ignoring "MOD No Entry" sign, until you reach RAF Spadeadam Gatehouse.
By air
The nearest International Airport is located at Newcastle with a regular shuttle service to/ from London Heathrow.
By rail
Mainline stations can be found at Carlisle and Newcastle with cross country services between the two. The nearest rail station to Spadeadam is at Haltwhistle, Northumberland.
