Verification of lifting appliances

Singapore

Our Singapore office offers the following services related to lifting operation/lifting appliances:
  • Structural design verification of DNV-2.7-1/2/3 offshore units and manufacturing follow up
  • Structural design verification of loose gears used for lifting operation (such as spreader bar/frame, etc.) and manufacturing follow up.
The competence related to lifting applianoces and lifting operation are:
  • Design verification:
    Structural discipline
  • Manufacturing follow up: 
    Can perform the fabrication/installation inspection for offshore structures, including DNV-2.7-1/2/3 offshore units and lifting gears.

Houston

Houston can provide design verification and survey services for structures and equipment of drilling, lifting, pressure vessel, well control and hydraulic and electrical system design verification and survey. For lifting appliances, services performed include design verification and survey on all sorts of cranes and lifting equipment and offshore containers/portable units based on DNV GL rules and API rules.  

Local competence:

  • Multidiscipline units with experts within all cranes & lifting related disciplines like structure, machinery, mechanics, etc.
  • Experience from many types of projects including both office work and field work onshore/offshore
  • Well familiar with several national and international design standards and rules/regulations.

Hamburg

Hamburg offers expertise for the whole project lifecycle for all kind of harbor equipment (design verification, manufacturing follow up, FAT, SAT and advisory services) e.g.:
  • Cranes: ship to shore (STS), rail mounted gantries (RMG), rubber tired gantries (RTG), jib cranes, etc.
  • Straddle carriers, automated guided vehicles (AGV), ship unloader
  • Movable bridges: flap, turn, lift, etc.
  • Roll on–roll of ramps, passenger boarding bridges
  • Watergates, weirs, ship lifts, flood barriers, etc.
  • Automated, autonomous or remote controlled systems: container storage areas, bridges.

In addition, Hamburg has crane experts as required by German employer’s liability insurance association for putting cranes in Germany into service.

Esbjerg

Our Esbjerg office offers services related to all sorts of cranes/lifting appliances/lifting equipment (mainly within offshore) also offshore containers/portable units e.g.:
  • Enterprise of competence (surveys and initial controls mainly on cranes)
  • Design verification + FAT/SAT and manufacturing follow up.
Local competence:
  • Multidiscipline units with experts within all disciplines like structure, machinery, mechanics, hydraulics, electro, automation, control systems, risk, E&I, process safety etc.
  • Experience from many types of projects including both office work and field work onshore/offshore.
  • Well familiar with several national and international design standards, customer specifications, EU directives and rules/regulations in the North Sea region.

Dubai/Abu Dhabi

Dubai/Abu Dhabi can provide:

  • Crane verification services towards design appraisal, e.g. offshore crane rerating, gap analysis between API RP2C and other codes, etc. 
  • Various lifting design appraisals performed towards heavy lifting spreader beams, industrial cranes and similar appliances
  • Accreditation from the authority (ref. local regulations) for all inspection agencies performing any lifting related inspection. 

Local competence:

  • Familiar with local regulations and international standards
  • Structural design appraisal 
  • Mechanical (but as not performed activities towards cranes or other lifting appliances)
  • E & I (but as not performed activities towards cranes and lifting appliances).

Bergen/Stavanger

Bergen/Stavanger perform services related to all sorts of cranes/lifting appliances/lifting equipment (mainly within offshore, but also maritime and land-based industry):

  • Enterprise of competence (surveys, initial controls, extraordinary controls, safety evaluations)
  • Design verification + FAT and manufacturing follow up
  • Certification + role as Notified Body within the Machinery Directive

Our Aberdeen office offers services related to a wide variety of lifting appliances, lifting equipment (mainly loose gear and within offshore and renewable industries), structures and pipelay equipment.  In addition, Aberdeen performs services related to DNV-2.7-1 and DNV-2.7-2 Offshore Containers and Offshore Service Modules e.g.: 
  • Design verification + FAT/SAT and manufacturing follow up
  • Survey and certification of dangerous goods containers.
