The objective of this Guideline is to allow the assessment of wind turbines in order to ascertain whether they are fit for continued operation. This guideline is mainly intented for application on used wind turbines that have reached the end of their service life. Questions regarding the continued operation of a turbine before expiration of its service life can also be answered with the aid of this Guideline. For example, this is the case when the system is moved to another site, there is a change in ownership, or the site conditions have changed.
