The measurement of a power generation units electrical characteristics which is interconnected with the electrical distribution level is getting more important, not only for the manufacturer but also for the owners and operators of such units. Measuring and evaluating the electrical behaviour of PGUs helps to identify power quality issues in a timely manner. Identifying issues may enable the implementation of counter-measures, to prevent damages or increased losses caused by a unit behaving differently than anticipated.
