This report presents a progress report on testing of cells, batteries and packs/systems according to the performance and load profiles developed as part of the Australian Battery Performance Standard (ABPS). Most of the assets to be tested have now commenced evaluation. A large proportion of these have completed baseline tests of power (maximum and sustained) and C5 capacity. Power testing has revealed that some cells are failing to meet the longest sustained power test (30 min) at the lower test temperature (-1 °C). This is due to the appreciable decrease in available discharge capacity at -1 °C, which may require modification of this aspect of the profile.
