Erica McConnell

Erica McConnell holds a bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the University of Guelph and a master’s degree in System Dynamics from the University of Bergen. 

The focus of her modelling efforts has been in the aquaculture industry, starting with her master’s thesis “Public Policy Improvements to Norwegian Salmon Aquaculture Operations – A Case Study” and continuing with work for Quantidoc AS on modelling fish health and immune systems, and Inventura AS, modelling well-boat policy and capacity. 

Erica has published a series of articles in Fish Farming Expert and Norsk Fiskeoppdrett on the use of system dynamics modelling in aquaculture, and won first place in the concept category and second place in the technology category at Aquahack 2018 for her “Digital Gut Interface” model.
