In fact, we’re the only independent US lab that can perform overload (RI-9) and short-circuit tests in one sequence. This means the final high-current short-circuit test takes place at a realistic operating temperature, more accurately simulating a fault as several trains are entering and leaving a station.  What’s more, our testing does not age the insulation. So the tested component can be installed and used after certification.
