Kjersti Aalbu is a senior researcher in the Climate Change Programme in DNV GL Group Technology and Research.
Aalbu has a political science and international relations background. Her current work focuses on mobilising business for climate-resilient pathways. This includes exploring hybrid forms of climate governance such as guidelines and standards to support the implementation of the Paris Agreement and business climate action.
Prior to her position in Group Technology and Research, Aalbu was a consultant in DNV GL Maritime, focusing on sustainability risk management. Before joining DNV GL, she worked as a project manager at the UN Principles for Responsible Investment, providing guidance to investors on incorporating environmental, social and corporate governance risks into their investment analysis and decision-making. Aalbu holds a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics with a focus on the political economy of the environment.
