Alexander F. Christiansen
Alexander F. Christiansen is a Principal Researcher in the Climate Action Programme within DNV GL Strategic Research & Innovation.
He has spent his career specializing in risk management to assist clients in a variety of industries, including risk assessments and management systems. His current work on adaptation to climate change is focusing on effective decision-making, resilience, crisis risk management and systems thinking. He is the lead author of the DNV GL report “Adaptation to a Changing Climate”, and has an interest in exploring resilience building in supply chains, corporations and cities. He has combined risk management competence with the management of a number of research projects, including projects for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and EU Coordination Action, as well as strategic research activities within DNV GL. Christiansen holds a Master’s in chemistry from the University of Oslo and a Master of Technology Management (MTM) from Norwegian University of Science and Technology/MIT Sloan School of Management. He has also attended the DNV GL executive technology program, Top Tech, at University of California Berkeley.
