Objectives 

This e-learning will get you started on your journey with Phast and will provide a valuable foundation for the more “in depth” courses which follow.  

Upon completion of this course, you will understand and be able to:

  • use Phast process hazard analysis software for a simple analysis
  • create a scenario from scratch, modelling the effects of releases of hazardous material from initial discharge, through dispersion to final flammable and toxic effects
  • review and understand results

Prerequisites 

The course is suitable for new users and for more experienced users who have not attended a formal training course or would like a refresher course. A basic understanding of hazard analysis and the concept of consequence modelling is useful but not essential, as is some experience of the process industry.
