These two-day training courses on energy storage are intended for professionals wishing to acquire a comprehensive overview of grid-connected energy storage (Arnhem & Dubai course) or energy storage systems (London course) and to have the latest technology, market conditions and issues clearly explained. Energy markets in relation to energy storage, the role of storage in providing flexibility to solve intermittency issues in the grid, business models, performance indicators, warranties, safety, risks and risk mitigation are covered.
This course is offered as open enrolment session at various locations; Arnhem (the Netherlands), London (UK), Hamburg (GE), Dubai (UAE), Singapore and Melbourne (Australia). General content of the courses will be the same, but country specific information can be included, so please check the different course leaflets for more detailed information on the exact course content. Arnhem course-specific information
In the Arnhem course DNV GL will provide you with international examples. Part of the second course day will be in two parallel sessions, one delving deeper into business cases and markets, the other focusing more on the technical side of ES systems and their safety aspects. Both topics will be introduced in advance in the plenary sessions.
Melbourne course-specific information
In the Melbourne course DNV GL will provide you with international and some Australian examples. The Business models section will treat topics that are specific to Australia.
Singapore course-specific information
In the Singapore course DNV GL will provide you with international and some local examples.
London course-specific information
The London course will cover the same general topics as the Arnhem course, however, DNV GL will provide you with UK specific examples.
Dubai course-specific information
In the Dubai course DNV GL will provide you with general topics such as the energy storage landscape, designing energy storage systems and the role of energy storage. On the second course day the afternoon session will focus on enabling energy storage in the GCC countries, delving deeper into the role of the governments, regulatory drivers and risks. International examples and lessons learned will be shared as well.
